No additional additives or preservatives are used.
All of our cakes are freshly baked and therefore suitable for freezing.
These cakes have a shelf life of 10 days to two weeks

Traditional Seedy Cake
A real blast from the past this light cake is made using butter, lots of caraway seeds and a hint of nutmeg.
Somerset Apple Cake
A really moist cake packed with plenty of apples and Perry’s Cider good either hot or cold.
TThe following cakes are richer and have a longer shelf life, at least 4 months. The only preservative being used is the alcohol that is used in the cooking process.
Sallyanns Rich Fruit Cake
This award winning recipe is packed with fruits including dates, prunes and figs all laced with Somerset Cider Brandy.
Coffee, Rum and Raisin
This is a lovely moist rich fruitcake where the raisins have been soaked in rum and coffee. The cake is then finished with a sprinkling of demerara sugar
Apricot Date & Walnut
In this cake which is also lovely and moist the apricots and dates have been soaked in Whisky.
Wicked Chocolate Cake
A real treat for the chocoholic as it is a chocolate cake with lots of chocolate chips in it plus apricots soaked in orange liqueur. The cake is then topped with dark and white Belgian chocolate and swirled into a marbled effect.








Round cakes are 15cm (6 inch) in diameter, however some of the long life cakes offered are available in a 75mm (3inch) individual version.
